Purity broken

Purity.

How she hated that word.  So often had she heard how it was important. About how she had to guard it….

Only to have it ripped away like a cheap necklace by a man her own father allowed her to be with.  She couldn’t remember his name…it had been to long ago.  But his eyes…they were unnatural just like hers.  But where as hers were a bright violet, complimenting her bright gold hair as well as her pale complexion, paler now, his were a bright red, the same color of blood spilt when he robbed her of her peace….her home…her life.  Her name?  Elizabeth Hodges.  Not that it mattered much…she was stuck in her body now for the rest of her life.

Sure he had been charming then….they always are.  He led her to believe something different about himself.  Though now she realized that it was just a simple mind trick.  Even a fledging could do it.  She had to do it herself.  But ah, let her start back at the beginning.

Born in 1778 her father was a rich nobleman, his only daughter Elizabeth was his pride and joy.  She was rather spoiled yes, but what only child of a rich man wasn’t?  But that monster he had invited in…stole everything.  But again…she’s jumping through the story.  Elizabeth had been about 16 at the time.  Her father’s favorite suitor had come over for the night to finally meet the girl he had been so charmingly chasing.

And he was charming.

So charming she dropped her guard for an instant and allowed him to walk her through the gardens in the night.  And that was when he did it.  Previously he had twisted her father’s way of thinking, allowing her to go with him to his home…She was wary when she realized what was going on, but there was nothing she could do.

He came to her room at night, draining her blood before she had a chance, and then to complete her transformation, he raped her. With most of her blood gone, she couldn’t move….couldn’t scream.   Her purity gone.  As simple as a snap of the fingers.

For a full year she followed him, her charming monster, until she learned the ways of this new world.  It was difficult…but then, what new thing wasn’t?   Looking back on this night a few hundred years later, she realized that she herself was no better.

Elizabeth had taken a nobleman’s son and kept him as her own.  The only difference?  She had made more of an effort with this one.  And he stayed until they left together.  They weren’t lovers no, more of just close friends.  Eventually he found another…and so did she.   But that’s a story for another time.
