Serenity

Warm sunshine beat down over two figures laying in the grassy meadow below.  One, a small elf, female, was laying against a dragon, the soft breeze whispering her hair about her.  If not for the breeze, many would have thought it too hot for a nap in the warm sunshine.  Brushing back her golden hair, the elf opened her eyes to look back at her companion, a soft smile sliding over her lips.  Resting back against her, the dragon brought her head around curling it over the girl’s lap, shifting her so her hand was resting over her head.  The girl, Kesa, smiled, running her hand fondly over the fur that grew where many would think spikes would go.
Kesa closed her eyes, continuing the motion as the dragon’s tail curled around her frame.  

Feeling Tayla’s head move, Kesa cracked an eyelid, giggling softly as the she swept her tongue along her cheek, bringing her scaly head to nuzzle the other’s cheek.   The dragon’s eyes glittered, probably smiling if she could, curling her serpentine body around the elf, entrapping her.  Opening her eyes again, she looked around.  Her weapons were no where in sight, and Tayla’s head was approaching.  Squirming slightly, she realized that there was no escape. The dragon began licking her face and shoulders, tickling her mercilessly. Calling for mercy the girl squirmed until she was finally out of the grasp.  Landing hard back against the grass she stared up at the sky.  The sun glowed brightly, causing her to shield her eyes, before looking back at Tayla, who was once again stretched out for a nap.  Laughing quietly the elf slid back over, resting her head once again on her side, a little below her wing.

  Yes it was silly, should they be caught in the human world, defenseless and sleeping in the sunshine, but a light elf as herself couldn’t help it.  It was part of her serenity.
